Silivene learned to play the game of basketball at age 61 in her home village of Nyamirama, Rwanda thanks to Shooting Touch, an NGO that utilizes the game of basketball to improve health and education in women and children. Through basketball, SIlivene has developed close friendships with other women in the community, improved her mental/physical health and found a new passion in life.
