This is a basketball court in my hometown. When the pandemic started, the city taped off the net so that no one could play there anymore. One year later, things are much better and the kids can finally come back here again. Although so much has changed since that time, this photo is a haunting reminder of how empty the courts used to be, and how lucky we are that things have improved so much since then.
